I started my weight loss program with Dr Muse at the end of May 2012. I went in overweight (weighing 274 lbs.), was very sluggish, I couldn’t even bend over to tie my own shoes. If I got down on my knees I had trouble getting back up and could not do so without some assistance. I could not walk up and down stairs without a struggle.
I had concerns with doing the program – thinking I would really be starving myself and that it would be hard because I love meat and figured I could not do without it. But I found after starting the program, and following their instructions, that it wasn’t hard at all. I whizzed through the program, averaging a loss of weight between 6 and 9 lbs per week – and that is with exercising at least 2 times a week at a nearby exercise facility.
During my 10th week I surpassed my goal weight of 215 and reached 212 lbs. Dr Muse told me that at my age, height and my bone structure, my actual goal weight should be about 195 to 200 lbs. and challenged me to achieve that. I ended my liquid diet and started the maintenance part of the program, partaking in real food. I am still exercising, managing the portions I eat, and I am still finding myself losing weight. Since starting to eat food again, and in the maintenance phase, I was still able to lose 6 lbs. the first week and am starting on the 2nd week.
Today I feel as though I’ve increased the quality of my life. I have so much more energy and I’m able to roll around in the grass and wrestle with my 2-year old grandson without gasping for air. I use to think I would have to sit around and watch him play, so I am thrilled that I am able to play with him.
I would recommend this program to anyone who needs or wants to lose weight – especially for health issues – because they can benefit from this program if they will discipline themselves to follow the program plan Dr Muse has laid out. Anyone doing so should get the results they are trying to obtain.
